[語法] (1)It 〜s to me that she is right. と She 〜s to me to be right. とはほぼ同義だが, she is right のように定形動詞(finite verb)を用いている前者の方が「彼女が正しい」と判断する気持が強い. (2)appear の次に形容詞を伴う場合は that を省略しないことが多い. また that 節の先行も可能： It 〜s certain that he will win first prize. 彼が1等賞を取るのは確かのようだ / That he will win first prize 〜s certain. cf. ^×That he will win ... 〜s. (3)進行形不可.
