・doubt one's own existence 自分の存在を疑う[信じかねる].

・doubt a person's honesty 人の誠実を疑う[どうだかわからないと思う].

・Surely you don't doubt me! まさか私を疑いはしないでしょうね.

★doubt の目的語としての clause は通例, 肯定文では whether, if, when, what などに, 否定文・疑問文では that に導かれる(この場合 that の代わりに but, but that を用いるのは 《口語》, but what を用いるのは 《俗》).

・I doubt very much whether [if] he'll come. 彼が来られるかどうか大いに疑問だ.

・I doubt if [(that)] he really wrote this book. 彼が実際にこの本を書いたのか疑わしいと思う.　★肯定文で that を用いると不信を表す.

・I don't doubt that you are honest. あなたが正直なことは疑わない.

・I don't doubt (but) that he will win. 彼の勝利を信じている.
