・satisfy a person by carrying out his [her] instructions 指示されたことを成し遂げて人の意にかなう.

・Nothing satisfied him (but that we should obey his every wish). (我々が彼のすべての望みに従わねば)何物も彼を満足させなかった.

b [p.p. 形で形容詞的に] 満足して 〔with〕 / 〈to do〉 (cf. satisfied).

・rest satisfied 満足している, 甘んじる.

・I am not satisfied with [by] her work. 彼女の仕事には不満足だ.

・They were satisfied to get equal shares. 分け前を平等にもらえて満足だった.

3 [しばしば p.p. 形または 〜 oneself で] 〈人〉に納得[得心, 確信]させる 〔of, about〕 / 〈that〉.
