[語法] (1)absent は「いて当然の時や場所にいない」意なので, 約束せず突然に訪問して相手がいないときには absent は用いず, She is out [not in, not at home]. などという. (2)「学校を欠席している」の場合, He is 〜 from school. は主に教師のよく用いる表現で, 一般には He is 〜. / He didn't come. / He is not at school. / ((略式)) He skipped school. などという.
