[語法] (1)「1日中」は all day (long), ((主に文)) all the day long, ((主に英)) all the day. (2)all the minute [decade] の連語では the の省略不可. hour, century では the whole hour [century] が普通. all the week [day, morning] は否定文では the が省略される： He didn't go out all week. 彼はこの1週間外に出なかった. (3)[all と all of] 人称代名詞が続く場合は of の省略不可( →【代】)：^×all them [us] / all of them [us]. 単数名詞がくる場合, ((米))では of を用いる方が好まれる： all (of) the way. 限定詞を伴う複数名詞・名詞がくる場合は of は選択的： all (of) the stories / all (of) his friends. 複数名詞が非限定の場合は of は不要： all (^×of) stories / all (^×of) whiskey. (4)2つのものには both を用いる： buy both [^×all two] shirts 2着のシャツを両方買う.
