[語法] (1)くだけた表現や新聞では the Rev., the Revd. を用いる. the を省略することもあるが丁寧さを欠く：(the) Rev. John Smith / the Rev. Mr. Smith. (2)2人以上には the Reverends John Smith and John Doe とする. (3)呼びかけとして姓・名を付けずに R〜 とするのは((略式)).
