・I stood a moment taking in the grandeur of the scene. 一瞬その光景の雄大さに見入ってたたずんだ.

(3) 〈客・同居人を〉泊める (receive); 〈下宿人・使用人を〉置く; 〈犬・猫などを〉家に入れて世話する; 〈病院・学校などが〉〈人を〉受け入れる 〔to〕.
