Wrigley formed an all women's professional softball league. The rules of were later modified to create the All-American Girls Baseball League (AAGBL) The four original teams were the Kenosha (Wisconsin) Comets, the South Bend (Indiana) Blue Sox, the Rockford (Illinois) Peaches, and the Racine (Wisconsin) Belles. The league later expanded, but disbanded in 1954 after profits declined.
